Product Description

One Balanced Organic Feed for Almost Everything You Grow

Old Cobblers Farm Wicked Organics 5-3-4 is the general-purpose feed in our organic line — a balanced blend for vegetables, lawns, flowers, trees, shrubs, and beds, new plantings and established gardens alike. The 5-3-4 ratio carries enough nitrogen to genuinely support foliage and growth, with phosphorus for roots and flowering and potassium for plant strength and resilience. There are no synthetic salts and no soluble boosters here — of the 5% nitrogen, 3.5% is water-insoluble and released gradually by soil microbes, with 1.5% water-soluble for a steadier start, so plants get even, season-long feeding with no flush or burn.

Its real strength is that it feeds the soil as well as the plant: the protein-and-mineral inputs support the microbial activity that cycles nutrients, builds structure, and creates darker, richer, more productive soil over the seasons. That makes it as useful for long-term bed and lawn care as it is for this year's vegetables. Use it across the garden — work it in at planting, side-dress established plants, or broadcast over the lawn in spring and fall.

One ingredient note: this blend contains animal protein meals and bone char, so it is not a vegan product, and like other bone- and protein-based feeds it can attract pets; incorporate it and store it securely.

Key Benefit

True all-purpose feed — One balanced 5-3-4 for vegetables, lawns, flowers, trees, shrubs, and beds — new plantings and established gardens.

Slow-release, no synthetic salts — No synthetic salts or soluble boosters; of the 5% nitrogen, 3.5% is water-insoluble and released slowly — even feeding, no flush or burn.

Feeds the soil, not just the plant — Protein-and-mineral inputs feed the microbes that cycle nutrients and build darker, richer soil over the seasons.

Strong roots — Phosphorus supports root establishment and the efficient water and nutrient uptake that follows.

Lawns too — Spring and fall lawn feedings support deep roots and steady color, while protein meals feed thatch-decomposing soil life.

Builds fertility over time — As useful for long-term bed and soil building as for this year's crop.

Where to use it: vegetables and small fruit, lawns, young and established trees, orchards, flowers and ornamentals, shrubs and hedges, herbs, containers and raised beds, farm fields, and landscape plantings.

Application Instructions

-General application: 2–3 lbs per 100 sq ft
-Lawns: 20–30 lbs per 1,000 sq ft (spring and fall)
-Containers: 2–3 tablespoons per gallon of soil
-Transplants: mix 1–2 tablespoons into the planting hole
Steps:
1. In beds, work 2–3 lbs per 100 sq ft into the top few inches of soil; for transplants, mix into the planting hole.
2. For established plants, side-dress around the base and lightly incorporate; for lawns, broadcast evenly.
3. Water thoroughly after application to move nutrients into the root zone and start the microbial breakdown.
4. Reapply through the season as needed; feed lawns in spring and fall. The slow-release character means infrequent reapplication.
When and how often: at planting and through the season for gardens; spring and fall for lawns. One application feeds for several weeks.
What NOT to do: do not pile it against stems or trunks, do not over-apply expecting a quick growth surge (it's a steady feed), and incorporate/water in rather than leaving it surface-exposed where pets can reach it.

Ingredients

A blended organic and mineral formula derived from:
-Natural Sulfate of Potash — Natural potassium source for the 4% potash (plant strength, resilience).
-Phosphate Rock & Bone Char — Natural, slow-available phosphorus sources for roots and flowering. (Bone char is animal-derived.)
-Vegetable Protein Meals — Slow-release organic nitrogen from plant proteins, released by microbial breakdown.
-Animal Protein Meals — Additional slow-release organic nitrogen from animal proteins. (Animal-derived; this product is not vegan.)
-Natural Nitrate of Soda — A natural nitrate source contributing the water-soluble nitrogen for a steadier start.
-Elemental Sulfur — Supplies sulfur as a nutrient and supports plant metabolism.
