Bigger, Longer-Lasting Blooms — A 10-20-15 Formula Built for Roses
Old Cobblers Farm Wicked Growth 10-20-15 is a rose fertilizer blended around what roses actually need through their growing cycle. The 10-20-15 analysis means it contains 10% nitrogen for steady green growth and lush foliage, 20% phosphorus — double the nitrogen — to power big, bold blooms and deep root establishment, and 15% potassium for sturdy stems, petal strength, and longer-lasting blossoms.
Roses are heavy feeders that flower in repeated flushes, so they respond to elevated phosphorus and potassium better than to a balanced all-purpose feed. At 45% total analysis, a 5 lb bag carries 2.25 lb of plant nutrients, and the per-plant rates make it easy to give each bush exactly what its size calls for — from a young miniature to a mature climber.
Key Benefits
Built for bloom power — 20% phosphorus — double the nitrogen — powers abundant flower production and deep root establishment through repeated bloom flushes.
Stronger stems, longer-lasting flowers — 15% potassium supports sturdy stems, petal strength, and blossoms that hold up longer on the bush and in the vase.
Foliage in balance — 10% nitrogen keeps growth steady and green without pushing soft, leafy growth at the expense of flowers.
Works for every rose type — Per-plant rates scale from ½ cup for young miniatures to 2 cups for mature climbers — one bag feeds the whole rose garden.
Concentrated and efficient — At 45% total analysis, a 5 lb bag carries 2.25 lb of nutrients and feeds up to 22 bushes per application.
New plantings included — A planting-hole rate (½–1 cup) gives first-year roses root-building phosphorus right where they need it.
Where to use it: garden beds, borders, containers, and trellis plantings of hybrid tea roses, floribundas, grandifloras, climbing roses, shrub roses, miniature roses, landscape and groundcover roses, and English and heirloom varieties — first-year plantings and established bushes alike.
Application Instructions
Application Instructions
-Established small/young bushes: ½ cup per plant
-Established mature/large bushes: 1–2 cups per plant
Steps:
1. Measure the right amount for the bush's size. More is not better.
2. Apply around the drip line (the soil under the outer edge of the branches), keeping the product away from the base of the plant and off the canes.
3. Work lightly into the top inch or two of soil.
4. Water deeply. This carries nutrients to the roots and protects the plant from fertilizer stress.
When and how often:
-Feed every 4–6 weeks during the growing season, spring to early fall
-In colder climates, stop feeding 6–8 weeks before your first frost so plants harden off
What NOT to do: do not exceed the per-plant rates, do not pile product against the base or canes, and do not skip the deep watering after each feeding — over-application of any concentrated fertilizer can stress or burn plants.
